Has it really been a couple weeks since I have posted?! I know I’ve been a little MIA but we have been busy!
Besides the blog I also homeschool our four children. 2 preschoolers, kindergartener and first grader! We had a semester end and we were rushing to get things caught up, graded and the rest of the year scheduled/planned!
Shew it was a long lengthy process. But hard to believe I have the remainder of the year planned. It feels like the school year just started!
My crochet has definitely taken the back seat. But, I did start a blanket. We recently found out my aunt was being put on hospice. It has come as shock since we thought chemo treatments had been working.
So I decided to make her a blanket to help her feel cozy. I just made it simple since I wanted it done quickly.
I used a j hook for the foundation chain, I like using a bigger hook for the beginning chain.
(I used a DC foundation chain)
Row 2: DC in the 4th chain from the hook, DC in each stitch across. -116
Chain 3, turn
Row 3: DC in each stitch across -116
Chain 3, turn
Continue this until your blanket reaches the length you desire.
Mine will be about 48in wide x 54in long. I am making mine with two colors, alternating every 6 rows.
It’s taking me a little longer to finish it, but I’m loving how it looks and can’t wait to give it to her. Ill post updated pictures when I finish!
