Perfect Winter Hat

I have decided to make all 4 of my kids a hat, glove and scarf set. They are constantly losing their stuff we buy them so I’m going to make them each a set we can find and use for once. We also decided to start with the oldest and work our way to the youngest.

I bought the red heart stripes to use for the oldest, she’s 7 and loves a mixture of colors. I picked it out without her and when she seen it she was thrilled!

So happy mom moment!

I decided to make the hat first and I don’t know about other parents but we have a hard time buying beanies that fit over the girls pony tails while still covering the ears.  So I really wanted a big, soft, chunky feeling one.

I love the final product and so does my oldest!

I wasn’t going to put a pom on it I am terrible at making them and I haven’t bought a pom maker. But curiosity got the best of me so I tried it out. It was a good decision she loved it.

This hat used abut 3/4 of the skein. I have just enough left to wip up an ear warmer for her. She requested this while I’m making their sets. The others said they didn’t want one. But we will see once they see it.

So here I am starting on it,

Thank you so much for reading, if you want to hear about the rest of the project follow me for updates!

Anyone else have a comfy slouchy hat? If so share it in the comments! We love to see what your working on!
